About I Am Here

Originally established in 1996 as Hunter Brain Injury Respite Options (BIRO) is a home away from home and has become a special place for guests and carers with its modern care facilities and sensory garden nestled amongst relaxed outdoor entertaining areas. Offering 24/7 respite services for adults and children, the house provides care for guests with acquired/traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, physical, intellectual and other disabilities. I Am Here offers high quality short, mid and long term accommodation, giving carers and guests much needed respite from their everyday routine

About the Opportunity

I Am Here is committed to the highest professional standards of practice and this role is integral to the success of the organisation. Working closely with the management team you will be a confident Human Resources Officer keen to be involved in this unique opportunity

The Role and You:

 Engage with all stakeholders promoting the values of I Am Here

 Exposure to employee relations, return to work processes and performance management

 Working closely with management to deliver on policies and procedures and keeping abreast of new legislation

 Responsible for managing recruitment end to end

 The ability to embrace change in a positive professional manner

 Creating an open door policy to all employees and continuing to foster a cohesive working environment

 Understand the workings of WHS in the workplace

 A minimum of 12 months in a similar role

 A tertiary qualification in Human Resources

 Proactive and energetic in managing multiple tasks
